推薦状対策

　　大学教授、会社の上司、先輩等に推薦状を依頼する方が多いかと思われますが、自分で推薦状を英文で書くことのできる推薦人は極めて少ないのではないでしょうか。また忙しい時間をわざわざ割いてもらって推薦状を書いてもらうのも気がひけるのも実情です。

　　ですので自分であらかじめ推薦状を作成しておいて、後で必ず推薦者の方に内容のチェック、署名をもらうのが良いのではないでしょうか。また最近の傾向として、大学側が直接に推薦者に推薦状をウェブサイト経由で提出させる形式が増えてきているので、推薦状のファイルをメールで送っておくことも必要です。

　　また推薦状本文以外に、各大学が発行している出願者評価シートの提出が求められますので、大学のウェブサイトで必要種類を確認しておいて下さい。

推薦状書き方のポイント

　　推薦状は、エッセーと比較して内容もそれほど難しくなく、決まった表現が多く用いられますので、比較的簡単に作成できます。推薦状を書く際のポイントとしては
　　　　
　　　　①　推薦者と出願者の関係を明確にする
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
推薦者と出願者の関係を明確（ゼミの指導教官、会社の上司、共同研究者など）にするかによって出願者をどういう側面から評価できるのかを記述します。


　　　　②　推薦者と出願者の関係を明確にし、出願者の能力を記する。

推薦者と出願者しか知りえない出来事などを記述して、推薦者が知り得る出願者の能力をアピールします。

推薦状の内容は、添削サービスを受ける必要もないと思いますが、不安な方は、添削を受けてみても良いと思います。（ちなみに、私は添削を受けました）
